Venice. I also have a special connection to Rue Vieille du Temple in Paris.

Making money, not spending it.

My favorite songs on Spotify again and again, though I'm getting tired of them. Out of solidarity with Czech Radio I downloaded the Můj Rozhlas app and now listen to the D‑dur station.

The most beautiful sight is:
My wife, pausing over what she has just read.

It never ceases to amaze me:
That many people have a natural sense of truth.

I collect:
Memories of landscapes from my travels, but only in my head — I try to avoid taking photos when possible.

My favorite object at home is:
A footstool. As for art, a glass fish from the Nový Bor glass school.

I enjoy:
Reading, writing, and arithmetic.

The most interesting gift I gave:
A CD of my own songs for my wife's anniversary.

The most interesting gift I received:
A trip to Berlin.

I can't imagine a weekend without:
Star Trek with my family, crisps and wine.

I love the smell of:
Wood — I am the son of a forester.

A book that inspired me:
Módre buny by Lubina Hajduk‑Veljković. It portrays Sorbian life cleverly. I admire how a language community of only a few thousand speakers can still produce a diverse literature, including detective stories.

A hobby that I've completely fallen in love with:
Italy.

I spend more than I want to on:
Wine.

When I want to eat well, I go to:
The florist, where I buy my wife flowers to express my undying love for her wonderful cooking. I’ve always had the most awkward experiences in restaurants.

The last thing I bought that made me happy:
Pierre Baptiste Mon Ami Rouge 2023 — a surprising AI recommendation. Creamy cherry notes with a hint of pepper.

The most useless thing I ever bought for my apartment:
Ice cream maker. We returned it.

Movies I can watch over and over:
Czech Cinderella; The Forgotten Light; Passengers.

An app that makes my life easier:
Revolut.

When I want to relax:
I listen to modern classical music.

I am inspired by:
My children.

The journey that changed my life:
A night train to Nové Město nad Metují, with a two-hour stop in the freezing cold in Choceň. I wanted to surprise my future wife by accompanying her on her early-morning train to Prague, and she didn’t turn me down.

If I could turn back time:
I wouldn't have invested with Česká spořitelna.

The best advice I've ever received:
Dress better than everyone around you.

My favorite place on earth:
Liberec.

The best thing I've ever invested in:
If we mean a thing in the legal sense, then the land with our house on it.

The things that are most valuable to me are:
Without doubt, relations. They are the essence of everything.
